What Do We Fear?

How is Fear Used in the Bible?
1. Yare (Old Testament)
- The emotion and intellectual anticipation of harm.
- A very positive feeling of awe or reverence of God.
2. Phobos/phobeo (New Testament)
- Cause to run away, frighten or terrify.
- Reverence, a Godly fear
Should We Fear God?
Who is God?
1. God is a righteous ____________________.
“They will sing before the Lord, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his truth.” Ps 96:13
