Financial Giving

Regularly giving financial support is one way to practice biblical stewardship in the local church. In this way we acknowledge that God is the creator and owner of everything, and that we are entrusted as stewards with a portion of those resources. Many church members and attenders at Edgewater participate in this through the spiritual discipline of ‘tithing.’ Tithing is a principle from the Bible where a person sets aside the first portion (typically 10%) of their income as a gift to God. This practice of giving is done with an attitude of thanksgiving and generosity as an act of worship and faith.

WAYS TO GIVE

Your tithes and any special offerings above your tithing commitments help to support the mission and ministry of the church. To make a donation today, Edgewater has several easy ways to help you give financially, including:

1) Online Giving

  • Our online service is a safe and secure way to give your tithes and special offerings.
  • Use a credit/debit card or personal bank account to make one-time donations or repeated donations.
  • If your gift is a regular or fixed amount, then consider setting up a recurring donation schedule directly from the giving donation form.

2) TEXT Giving – a convenient way to Give

Text Giving

  • Text Giving is a safe and secure way to give easily from your smart phone.
  • Simply Text the word GIVE to (925)-592-1234. Click the secure link, fill in your donation amount, payment information and you are ready to go.
  • If this is your first time, you’ll be prompted by a text to click a link directing you to the secure online giving page to complete a one-time registration.
    • Click SIGN IN then REGISTER FOR AN ACCOUNT at the bottom of the page.
    • Complete contact information then click REGISTER
    • Enter the SECURE PIN that the system texts you.
    • Select the fund (such as ‘TITHE‘ or ‘OFFERING‘), enter the amount and payment information before completing your gift.
    • Click SAVE PAYMENT if you want to keep your payment information securely saved for future gifts.
    • To text a donation after the one-time registration, you can give immediately without having to re-enter any of your information.
      • Simply text (925)-592-1234 with the desired amount and the keyword (TITHE or OFFERING).
      • Example: 250 TITHE will send a $250.00 gift of your tithe to support the mission and ministry of Edgewater.

3) Use the Bill Pay feature of your bank

  • Set up ‘bill pay’ to send a check automatically to our mailing address through the instructions your local bank provides.

4) Send a Personal Check

  • For those who prefer to send gifts via a personal check, please use our mailing address. Indicate in the Memo line the purpose of your gift.
